Interested in Consigning?
Here's how it works:
We screen items to determine if they are a good fit for our store. Digital photos may be sent to us along with the information listed below. Details of the overall condition will also be requested. Please send only one shot of each item and keep file sizes small.
- What is it? (sofa, chair, lamp, etc.)
- Who made it? (manufacturer's name)
- How old is it?
- Where did you purchase it?
- What are the materials?
- What was the original cost?
- What are the measurements?
Pricing depends on the individual item; it's age, quality and condition. Generally, people expect to pay about half of current retail.
Once we agree on pricing, we will provide you with a written consignment contract. Delivery of furniture to Modele's is at the Consignor's expense, but we can help with arrangements.
The contract provides for a 60 day consignment period. Once the item has sold we send 50% of the sale price to you within 14 days of the sale. We are fully responsible for your merchandise while it is in our possession.
If your item does not sell within 60 days, we can discuss extending the contract with price reductions, or you may arrange to pick your item up.
